The Power of Framing

While reading several articles of Chosun Weekly Biz today, I realized that there was only one article that conveyed its idea clearly, and I considered that the winning point of the article was “framing”; while other writers only focused on delivering fresh concepts, the author of this article analyzed cases, structured implications, and built a frame.

Burberry Beijing Show on Apr. 13, 2011

(This article will be re-edited soon.)

Description of the video from YouTube:
Highlights from the Burberry Beijing event shot on 13 April 2011 from the Beijing Television Center. Live Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2011 hologram runway show and performance from British band Keane.

I believe that this is the most brilliant use of 3D Projection Mapping technology ever. Burberry truly understood what they should deliver to the show participants and nicely integrated the latest technology into the Burberry experience.

Two Brand Experts’ Article

Every Saturday, Maeil-Kyungjae posts an article about insight; two weeks ago, Mr. Cho, my ex-boss and head of the Marketing Strategy Department of Cheil Worldwide Inc., wrote the article in this section. And last Saturday, interestingly, Mr. Park, head of the Marketing Strategy Department of Innocean, showed his writing at the same spot. Both of them briefly touched up about trending issues to address their thoughts on branding, but in a different way. (Comparing two articles are so much fun at least for me because I know both of them in person. They are way different from each other, and I think that the articles are fully reflecting each individual’s personality.) (BTW, both articles are written in Korean.)

About Mentorship

As a mentor of some of my lovely juniors and a mentee of my most respected seniors, I do have much interest in mentorship, and here are some interesting articles about mentorship. In particular, I fully agree with the concept of “A Personal Board of Directors.” Please have a look at following articles and would like to hear your thoughts on these. :)
